At 6.57 inches, the size is just right. The black bezel is also the narrowest at 0.98mm, the company claims.The panel HONOR used is AMOLED. While it is not LTPO, this uses a high-quality AMOLED panel with 60 to 120Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and crisp 1.5K 2728 x 1264 resolution at 460 ppi.Crisp and brightThis has AI HDR Display 2.0 and AI Vivid Display 2.0 with HDR certification for Netflix and Amazon. It can go bright up to 8,000 nits, one of the highest on a phone today.In my experience, it is very bright. It is also vibrant, but not overly saturated. Colors pop quite well. Under direct sunlight, the screen remains very legible and brighter than most phones we tested (including pricier phones)—making it great for shooting photos and videos even outdoors.The touchscreen experience is also accurate, fast, and responsive. It also has Light and Dark modes to choose from depending on your preference, Sunlight mode for extended high brightness for outdoor light, color temperature adjustments, and eBook mode (black and white for reading).By the way, the lower middle part of the display has a hidden fingerprint sensor. In my experience, it works 9 out of 10 times. It is also fast and generally reliable.It has two speakers in total and can deliver very loud yet fairly crisp tunes for music listening, watching movies, and more. Quality is above-average for a mid-range phone, but it is still a step behind the speaker quality of more expensive phones. Bass is understandably a bit weaker.The handset has 3 microphones in total. Recording quality is great with entry-level external microphone quality (that's great for creators who do not want to carry an extra microphone for better audio recordings).As expected, the phone's earspeaker is standard and clear enough for taking calls.High-end-level camerasOne of the main features of the HONOR 600 Pro is its cameras. This has identical megapixel numbers to the HONOR 400 Pro last year, but the OIS has been upgraded, and the optical zoom range is now better at 3.5x instead of just 3x.In particular, this phone highlights the 200MP f/1.9 CIPA 6.0 OIS main shooter, 12MP f/2.2 w/ AF, and 50MP f/2.8 3.5x periscope w/ CIPA 6.5 OIS. It even has a Color temperature sensor for natural-looking tones.Daylight main cam shotAs expected, the primary 200MP camera of this phone delivered and is capable of capturing high-level shots in different lighting conditions. It has natural colors, crisp yet not oversharpened images, and has great shadows and dynamic range for a phone at this price point.Well-lit 80mm and 160mm cat shotIn my experience, its zoom quality is also very good for the price. It can do up to 3.5x optical zoom, 7x lossless hybrid zoom, and even the higher 20x and 40x zoom shots may remain crisp—particularly in well-lit conditions.1x3x, 20x40x, 120xAt higher zoom ranges, the AI will heavily kick in to aid its camera to deliver decent "usable" results.Since its OIS is good, the zoom is not shaky and nicely stabilized, so it won't be that hard to frame your shots when zooming.48mm 2x Portrait, 80mm 3.5x PortraitThe zoom is also helpful when taking Portrait shots. The 3.5x 80mm zoom is great and can deliver shots with minimal distortion. At 2x lossless zoom using its primary camera, picture quality is even higher with more natural colors, but it can make the subject look a little bit fuller.1x, 2x zoom food shotsI enjoyed using the phone's tele-zoom camera for capturing pets like cats and food shots.1x, ultra-wide (0.6x)The ultra-wide cam is also decent with high dynamic range, even for shots against the light.1x, ultra-wide (0.6x) low lightIn the dark, it is one of the best phones for taking cityscapes. It delivers high-quality low-light images with minimal grain and color loss. Artifacts are not visible to the naked eye unless the user pixel-peeps.1x, ultra-wide (0.6x) at night1x and 3.5x zoom at nightThe ultra-wide camera and zoom will understandably have more grain and some color loss as the primary camera uses a bigger sensor.Night Portrait (cropped)If HONOR could improve on one thing, I hope that they could seed a software update to improve edge detection and subject to background separation when using the Portrait mode.For selfies, it has a 50MP f/2.0 sensor. This is a high-quality selfie shooter with sharp details, natural colors, and a fairly wide field of view. Well-lit indoor selfiesIt also has some of the better Portrait modes for selfies and pretty good edge detection. It has a beauty mode by default, but it did not make my skin tone white.Indoor Portrait selfieIt only improved my skin texture a little, but it remained natural-looking. Of course, users may adjust the beautification level to their liking.Low‑light selfies leave room for improvement, yet the HONOR 600 Pro still ranks among the better options for capturing clear, usable shots in the dark—thanks to its capable front camera sensor, AI optimizations, and night shot algorithms.For videos, the phone records up to 4K 60fps at the back with fair stabilization. There's a bit of ghosting, but its 4K 30fps mode is good enough even for product video shots for my work as a tech content creator. The zoom is also usable in well-lit conditions, but it may be a bit grainy in regular white-lit rooms without windows.The selfie cam can also record up to 4K, but only up to 30fps. It's not a bad thing for me, as the quality is surprisingly crisp with natural colors. There is almost no jitter, and ghosting is minimal. By default, graphic settings are already set to mostly "high," and the actual experience is smooth with little to no visible drops even during clashes. Genshin Impact settings, Game ManagerIt will handle other popular titles that are less demanding, like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, in a breeze.This phone even has a "Game Manager" that will pop up when you swipe right from the left part of the screen in landscape mode. It has Mistouch Prevention, Game Filters, Touch Enhancer, Image Enhancer, Bypass Charging, Screenshot, Screen Recording, Rotation Lock, and Timing Aid. Speaking of cooling, HONOR said that this has an advanced cooling system with a 5,219mm² 3D vapor chamber and 12,000+mm² of high-performance graphite sheets.It gets warm while playing games for over 20 minutes straight, but not alarmingly hot. In fact, when you put the free case, you will barely feel the heat. Even for other tasks, like video rendering and photo editing, while at a WiFi hotspot, no issue or whatever.Connectivity features are strong as well. This connects up to WiFi 7, reaching super-fast speeds on compatible home networks. I also tested 5G, and it works just as well as my other high-end phones.It also connects via Bluetooth 6.0 LE with support for multiple audio codecs, including lossless audio (SBC, AAC, LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, LHDC3.0, LHDC4.0, LHDC5.0, LC3).I also had decent to good experiences with its NFC and GPS. This also has dual nano SIM slots and eSIM support. To those who do not know, eSIM offers convenience by removing the need for physical SIM cards, making it easier to switch carriers, manage multiple numbers, and stay connected while traveling.The battery is amazingHONOR AIAs an everyday casual phone, this phone has a superb battery life. Thanks to its 7,000mAh capacity, it can truly last for two (2) days on a single charge at 50% auto brightness. Under heavier usage for content creation, like taking a lot of photos and videos while on vacation, it can last for a whole day with about 20-30% left in the tank.During my last trip, I even used the phone as a WiFi hotspot for 10 hours while taking a few photos from time to time. It only consumed 40% of the battery.The HONOR 600 Pro used just 3-4% battery every 20 minutes of Genshin Impact at 50% brightness and 40% volume.With its 80W power brick, the phone may be charged from 1 to 100% in slightly under 50 minutes. The phone itself could also be used like a power bank with 27W Wired Reverse Charging. While 80W is a bit down from the 100W last year, HONOR added a 50W Wireless HONOR SuperCharge support this time.Unfortunately, I do not have a compatible fast wireless charger around, so I was only able to try it with my 15W wireless power banks. It works, but I wasn't able to test its maximum wireless charging speed potential.Plenty of software and AI tricksThe UIThe HONOR 600 Pro arrived with MagicOS 10 skin based on the Android 16 operating system.By theory, it brings a refined, secure, and AI‑driven experience. In my experience, it delivers smoother animations, better responsiveness, and a cleaner overall software with some transparent UI design choices.Image to Video AIHONOR is also hyping its Image to Video and AI Instant Movie feature. These are fun tools to turn your ordinary photos into something exciting, funny, or whatever, as well as create instant videos in a prompt.HONOR AI toolsHONOR also improved its Magic Retouch with AI Erase, AI Upscale, AI Cutout, and AI Outpainting.
