Infinix NOTE 60 Pro Review – High-end build, legit reliable performance

Infinix's newest NOTE Series phone is now official in the Philippines, the NOTE 60 Pro.Meet Infinix NOTE 60 ProAccording to the company, this handset is built for young professionals, which combines speedy performance, premium design, and smart personalization—all in one high‑value package.Starting at PHP 15,999 (promo price), this device arrived with a premium metal-clad body, frosted glass back, cool lighting quirks, a large AMOLED 144Hz screen, a speedy enough Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, a bigger 6,500mAh battery, 90W fast charging, a 50MP OIS main shooter, JBL stereo speakers, and plenty of AI functionalities.Let's have a look.Unboxing/AccessoriesInfinix XWatch N5 Pro and NOTE 60 Pro boxesThe Infinix NOTE 60 Pro arrived with the phone itself, a pre-installed screen protector, a FREE magnetic case, a magnetic wireless charger, a SIM ejector tool, a 90W power brick, and a Type-A to Type-C data/charging cable.UnboxedWe also unboxed the XWATCH N5 Pro (PHP 1,099 SRP), a promising fitness-focused watch with a circular display and rotating bezel. This watch is available at a special discounted price with every purchase of the NOTE 60 Pro.The inspiration is clear, the build is superbMetal frame, frosted glass backAt first look, particularly with the Solar Orange color option we got, the design undeniably has some similarities to the iPhone 17 Pro.Halo Light, Active Matrix DisplayIt comes with a large, cornered rectangular hump to house the cameras, LED flash, Halo Light, and the Active Matrix Display.High-end look and feel, affordable price tagThe Active Matrix Display serves as a secondary interactive LED interface at the back of the phone. It shows quick notifications, charging notifications, customizable Pixel Art style, and even has MiniPlay games. The rest of the back has a fingerprint smudge-resistant coating. Other colors available are Mist Titanium, Deep Ocean Blue, Mocha Brown, Torino Black, and Frost Silver. The back is also magnetic, just enough to keep the phone in place when doing tabletop wireless charging, but not strong enough to hold other magnetic accessories.Slim frame, AI keyThe frame is metal and comes with contoured edges. In front, it has a Gorilla Glass 7i-protected 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED screen with ultra-slim 1.87mm proportional bezels. The displayOn top of the display is a near-hidden ear speaker for calls. On the bottom part of the screen is the fast and accurate In-Display fingerprint sensor.Top, bottomOn top, it has the IR Blaster, a top-firing speaker, and the top microphone. You will also find the Sound by JBL branding in this area.Below, users will find the down-firing speaker, USB-C Type port, another microphone hole, and the SIM tray slot.At left, there's the One-Tap Button that users can long-press to enable a specific feature like Mute, Matrix MiniPlay, Health, Folax AI, One-Tap FlashMemo, Open Camera, Do Not Disturb, Flashlight, Screen Recording, Sound Recording, Quick Note, Translate, and Custom.Volume rocker, power key, health sensorAt right, users will see the volume rocker, power button, and the Health Measurement sensor.Health measurementThe Health Measurement sensor can detect the Heart Rate, Blood Oxygen, Heart Rate Variability, and Stress of the user. It even gives advice on how to improve the health of the user based on the reading. The health monitor key is not customizable. It measures 162.37 x 77.17 x 7.36 mm (Torino Black) and 7.45 mm (Other colors) and weighs  201.7 grams.Overall, the Infinix NOTE 60 Pro feels impressively premium for its price, with solid functionality, though its design is polarizing since it closely resembles the iPhone 17 Pro.Extra bright display, JBL soundThe display of the Infinix NOTE 60 ProAt this price point, the Infinix NOTE 60 Pro is equipped with some of the best displays around. It has a LARGE 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED screen w/ 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 2304Hz PWM dimming, and crisp 1.5K 2664 x 1208 resolution at 431 ppi.The display featuring Infinix endorser ITZY YunaThe display is color accurate with close quality to some higher-end phones. It simply has some of the best colors around that look vibrant when needed and deep blacks. This display is also very bright with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits to provide great outdoor legibility. Thanks to its 144Hz refresh rate, animations and transitions are also often smooth. It is an adaptive refresh rate that can go from 30Hz to 144Hz to conserve energy. There's reduced motion blur in fast-moving objects and better overall immersion in some games as well. For HD streaming, this phone has Widevine L1 certification. This display is also one of the most responsive we've seen and works even when wet.It even has black-dot indicators to show motion direction when traveling via car or boat to reduce nausea and next-gen pixel materials that cut blue-light emission to below 5.1% for a safer and more comfortable viewing. The phone also has a JBL-tuned stereo speaker setup with decent bass punch and clarity despite having small drivers. It will still sound a bit thin compared to high-end phones, but this is above-average in quality, and that's a good thing.Combined, the high-quality display and above-average speakers provide a generally pleasing audio-visual experience. This makes it impressive for viewing content on social media, websites, watching movies, and much more.Consistent camerasThe camera layoutAt the back, Infinix NOTE 60 Pro packs a 50MP f/1.59 sensor with AF and OIS. It is paired with an 8MP f/2.2 114.4-degree ultra-wide-angle camera. There is a flicker sensor too to assist the cameras with exposure and indoor or low-light photography.Daylight shot 1xDaylight shot 1xIn my experience, this handset delivered. Shots are consistent across the primary camera to the ultra-wide camera. Colors are identical, and both are highly detailed in ideal lighting conditions. One of the better phones for photography at this price point!Colors are mostly punchy with consistent exposure and shadows.Ultra-wide, 1xThe primary 50MP camera is obviously the better camera thanks to its larger 0.8μm pixel size and faster and brighter f/1.59 aperture. It even has OIS, which allows for stabilized snaps in different scenarios, including doing digital zooms.Daylight shot 1xIndoor well-lit 1xSpeaking of zooming, it has the ability to take lossless shots up to 2x. In our tests, up to 5x zoom in daylight is usable for social media.Portrait modeI can see the improvements in Portrait edge detection from previous affordable Infinix NOTE Series phones, but to nitpick, hair-level separation could still be better. It can do 24mm, 35, and lossless 50mm Portrait shots.1x, 2x zoom1x, 2x zoomOther interesting features include the "Street Snap" with different filters, Super Macro, and the Pro mode.Dim light 1xDim light 2xWhere the primary cameras of this phone truly shine is in low light. This takes some of the best low-light images at this price point.Point and shoot low light 1xIt produces low-light snaps that aren't overexposed, with minimal grain, and without loss of colors. Even when inside a dimly lit museum, it was able to create a clean-looking, dramatic shot with high dynamic range.Point and shoot low light 1xAs expected, the ultra-wide shooter will struggle in low light. Use the night mode to shoot better images.Infinix NOTE 60 Pro selfie samples (well-lit, low light)For selfies, this phone has a 13MP f/2.2 sensor. Based on megapixels alone, this is below the 32MP of the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro last year.Thankfully, actual performance isn't that affected. It can still take decent quality selfies with crisp enough details, near accurate colors, and minimal beautification, unlike other selfie shooters from other Chinese brands.Portrait camera performance is also decent, with adjustable blur via software from f/1.0 to f/16. Again, it has some issues with hair-to-background separation, but it may work for individuals with properly brushed straight hair.In low light, I recommend using the Soft Light Ring mode with AI Flare Remove to automatically reduce lens flare when you take photos. With this combination, users can take better selfies even in the dark. For videos, this phone can record up to 4K at 30fps using its primary camera. I like that its autofocus speed is fast, and surprisingly, it isn't shaky even handheld. Quality is mostly crisp in well-lit conditions too, even up to 3x digital zoom.I noticed that stuttering and jello are minimal (even when using the ultra-wide cam), which is rare for affordable phones like this one.The AI Steady and Ultra Steady with minimal crop are only available on 1080p mode, but these modes can really help in lessening the shake in your videos. In my experience, this is good enough for content creation. In my case, I was able to use its 4K 30fps mode to take some nice quality product videos for TikTok, even without a tripod. To my surprise, it can also record up to 4K 30fps with decent quality for basic TikTok, Reels, or Shorts. I also like that it has basic Video Steady (minimal crop) to help with shake, even if it has no OIS in front. When users switch to 1080p, other modes like AI Beauty Effect, Blur, and Filters can be activated. This also has a VLOG mode with different templates that you can use for both the back and front cameras for easier content creation. On a side note, this also has one of the better microphones, which allowed me to record videos with fairly clear audio even without an external mic. Snappy and reliable performance for the priceThe benchmark scoresAs expected from an Infinix device, the NOTE 60 Pro is a speedy phone for most casual users. Thanks to its 2.7GHz 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 octa-core processor with Adreno GPU, paired with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5 and 256GB UFS 2.2, the phone never had an issue handling most of the social media apps, multiple tabs in the browser, and even up to 4K video editing via CapCut Pro.Switching from one app to another is a breeze, and running a lot in the background usually doesn't cause issues.Snappy for most basic apps and some demanding tasksVirtually, users can even add 6GB/8GB/12GB of RAM using its internal storage to further improve its performance, particularly with app opening speed and handling more background apps.I'm not really a gamer, but I tried Genshin Impact with this device. The default Medium-High combination at 30fps is fairly smooth with no annoying lag, even in clashes, after 15 minutes of straight gameplay.Graphics won't look the prettiest under this mode, though, but still better than other phones that require switching to lower graphic settings in favor of a more decent performance. It also has the XBOOST AI for general game optimizations. If you will play in an air-conditioned area, switching to Performance mode allowed me to increase the graphic settings a little without extra heating and performance stutters.I also tried Honor of Kings, and the experience is generally smooth at default settings. I also switched to maximum settings in the Performance mode, and the phone still handled the game with no issues, even when I used all the skills at the same time during full team clashes.Keeping its performance in check is a 4758mm2 Vast 3D VC Chamber Cooling, which promises a 3 degrees Celcius cooler performance even under intense gaming. For connectivity, no issue. WiFi is fast and definitely faster than older WiFi 5 networks. It also has a 360-degree "Gaming Antenna" for 30% signal strength boost, and the mobile data connection is as good as most of my over PHP 30K smartphones. As long as you are in a location with a strong signal or WiFi, the internet will be fast and stable. If I have to nitpick somewhere, it would have been better if this phone had eSIM support.Extra-long battery lifeI've been using the phone for more than a week now. Guess how many times I charged it as a secondary phone? Only 3 times. Thanks to its large 6,500mAh battery and Infinix optimizations, the NOTE 60 Pro delivered some of the strongest battery performances we've seen at this price point.I used it as my photography and vlogging phone during our trip to Bacolod, streamed YouTube in my downtime, and let my daughter play Fashion Princess occasionally. After three days, I still had 26% battery left when we returned to Manila.Under heavy usage like playing the games I mentioned above with automatic brightness and 20% volume, it only consumed 1-2% of the battery every 5 minutes.90W power brickMoreover, this phone comes with a FAST 90W power brick. To fill it from 0 to 50%, it only needed 25 minutes. Then, it reached 80% in 45 minutes and 100% in exactly 1 hour.Infinix also said that it can do up to 34 hours of nonstop video playback and up to 22 hours of nonstop outdoor navigation. This handset also has a 30W Wireless MagCharge with about 2 hours of charging from 0 to 100%.According to the company, this phone also has over 6 years of healthy battery life and can restore up to 1% of battery health every 200 charge cycles. It also supports ByPass Charging, allowing you to play games while plugged in without stressing the battery’s health.Improved software experienceThe interfaceBy default, the Infinix NOTE 60 Pro ships with Android 16 OS with XOS 16 UI skin on top.The XOS 16 UI adds Infinix's own features and design tweaks with several inspirations from Apple, particularly the wallpaper and the translucent look.It is very easy and familiar to use and has minimal bloatware compared to earlier XOS versions. However, some pre-installed apps still remain. There are occasional ads in the notification area as well.Infinix NOTE 60 Pro AIThe device also has Folax, an all-in-one AI assistant with phone control and performance boost, an encyclopedia for web information search and summarization, document processing, problem solving, writing, image processing, and more.It also has an easy access AI Toolkit for Problem Solving, Hi Translate, Sound Recorder, and Folax.AI Erase sampleIn the Photos app, it has an AI Studio with the AI HD Enhancement, AI Flare Remover, AI Shadow Remover, AI Reflection Remover, AI Eraser, and AI Extender. All of these tools in the AI Studio work with pretty good accuracy, particularly with the AI Eraser tool.Infinix has also promised 3 years of major OS updates and 5 years of security updates.Pros - High-end build, premium design, excellent display, strong audio, capable cameras with decent 4K video recording, fast-enough performance for the price, extra-long battery life with fast charging, plenty of extra features, very competitive pricingCons - Love it or hate it design, ultra-wide camera is just decent, slightly downgraded selfie cam from predecessor, no eSIM support, a few pre-installed apps, occasional ads in the notificationsInfinix NOTE 60 Pro SpecsDisplay: 6.78-inch Gorilla Glass 7i protected LTPS AMOLED screen w/ 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 2304Hz PWM dimming, 1.5K 2664 x 1208 resolution at 431 ppiCPU: 2.7GHz 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 octa-core processorGPU: AdrenoRAM: 8GB/12GB LPDDR5ROM: 256GB UFS 2.2Back Camera: 50MP f/1.59 w/ AF, OIS + 8MP f/2.2 111.4-degree w/ AF + LED flashSelfie: 13MP f/2.2Battery: 6,500mAh w/ 90W fast charging, 30W Wireless MagChargeOS: Android 16 w/ XOS 16Connectivity: WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax (5GHz/2.4GHz), 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.4, FM Radio, NFC, GPS, dual SIMSensors: G-sensor, e-compass, light, proximity, health monitorOthers: In-Display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, IP64 dust resistance and water splash resistance, IR Blaster, JBL stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, X-axis linear motor, Stainless Steel VC Cooling System, USB-C, Colors: Mist Titanium, Deep Ocean Blue, Solar Orange, Mocha Brown, Torino Black, Frost SilverDimensions: 162.37 x 77.17 x 7.36 mm (Torino Black), 7.45 mm (Other colors)Weight: 201.7 gPrice: PHP 17,999 (8GB/256GB), PHP 19,999 (12GB/256GB)VerdictThe watch and the phoneThe Infinix NOTE 60 Pro delivers a surprisingly premium package starting at just PHP 15,999 (promo price), with a high-end build, standout display, improved cameras, extra-long battery life, and fast charging support. Its software has also matured and has creator‑focused tools and features that make it appealing for young professionals and content creators. There are a few compromises, but ALL are acceptable at this price point. If you are an affordable phone that needs all the positives mentioned, the Infinix NOTE 60 Pro is a solid buy.Where to buy this phone? The official first sale livestream of the NOTE 60 Pro via Infinix's official TikTok page on April 22, 8 PM.Those interested may watch out for it on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok.
