Lenovo Unveils Adaptive AI PCs and Lenovo Qira Ecosystem at MWC 2026

At MWC 2026, Lenovo introduced a new generation of adaptive AI devices along with several concept designs that show how personal computing could evolve in the coming years. The announcements cover a wide range of devices designed for professionals, creators, students, and gamers, including a modular PC concept, a glasses-free 3D laptop idea, a foldable gaming handheld, and the rollout of Lenovo Qira, a new AI system designed to connect experiences across devices. These innovations reflect Lenovo’s broader push toward smarter computing. Instead of devices working independently, the company is building a unified ecosystem where hardware and AI collaborate to better understand user needs and adapt to various situations.Lenovo Qira: AI That Works Across DevicesOne of the key announcements is Lenovo Qira, described as a Personal Ambient Intelligence built directly into Lenovo and Motorola devices. Instead of working as a separate application, Qira operates at the system level, allowing it to connect experiences across PCs, tablets, smartphones, and wearables. The goal is to help users move smoothly between tasks and devices while providing assistance based on user intent. By being integrated into the system, Lenovo Qira can maintain continuity between activities and deliver a more connected experience across multiple devices.Lenovo plans to roll out Qira to more than 20 devices in its PC lineup in the coming weeks. The rollout will cover several product families, including Yoga, IdeaPad, Legion, and ThinkPad devices, delivered through over-the-air updates and preloaded software. The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 will also launch as the first Lenovo tablet to support Lenovo Qira. The first wave of support on PCs will include six languages across nine regions, covering English (U.S., U.K., India), Spanish (U.S. and Latin America as well as Spain), French (France), Italian (Italy), German (Germany), and Portuguese (Brazil). Lenovo says the platform will continue expanding in 2026 with additional languages and devices, including support for Motorola smartphones as part of a broader cross-device AI ecosystem.ThinkBook Modular AI PC ConceptLenovo also revealed the ThinkBook Modular AI PC Concept, a concept system designed around a “carry small, use big” idea. The device features a 14-inch ultra-thin base system that can connect with interchangeable components such as displays, input devices, and I/O modules. One of the standout ideas is a detachable secondary display that can attach in multiple orientations or even replace the keyboard. When connected, it expands the working screen space to roughly 19 inches, giving users a larger workspace without losing portability. The concept highlights how modular architecture could allow devices to adapt to different workflows while also extending their lifespan.Yoga Book Pro 3D ConceptAnother concept Lenovo showcased is the Yoga Book Pro 3D, a laptop designed to deliver glasses-free 3D viewing. The concept combines dual displays with AI-powered 2D-to-3D conversion, gesture interaction, and creative tools that allow users to interact with depth directly on the screen. This approach is aimed at creators working with immersive content, allowing them to visualize and manipulate depth without needing additional equipment like 3D glasses. The concept also shows Lenovo’s continued exploration of spatial computing experiences for creative workflows.Legion Go Fold Gaming ConceptFor gaming, Lenovo introduced the Legion Go Fold, a foldable handheld gaming concept that can shift between different usage modes. The device starts as a compact handheld console but can unfold into a larger screen for more immersive gameplay. The design also allows for several use cases such as split-screen multitasking, expanded display gaming, and desktop-style interaction. By combining flexible display technology with gaming hardware, Lenovo is exploring how a single device could handle both gaming and productivity tasks.AI-Ready Devices for BusinessesAlongside its concept devices, Lenovo also updated its commercial PC portfolio with systems designed for organizations adopting AI-enabled workflows. The refreshed ThinkPad T-Series focuses on improved serviceability, usability, and AI readiness, with select models receiving strong repairability scores from iFixit. These improvements are intended to reduce downtime and help businesses manage device fleets more efficiently.Lenovo also introduced the ThinkPad X13 Detachable, a lightweight device that combines tablet flexibility with laptop productivity. It includes integrated pen support and field-replaceable components, making it suitable for hybrid and frontline workers.Expanding into rugged mobility, Lenovo unveiled the ThinkTab X11, a durable Android tablet designed for industrial environments and frontline professionals who require reliable mobile computing in demanding conditions. For small and medium-sized businesses, the ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 Gen 6 provides multi-mode flexibility along with AI-enabled collaboration features. The ThinkVision M16 portable monitor complements this setup by offering a lightweight external display for professionals who need extra screen space while working remotely.New Consumer and Gaming DevicesLenovo also expanded its consumer lineup with new laptops and tablets designed to balance performance, portability, and intelligent features. The Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition (14”, 11) combines a premium convertible design with OLED visuals and intelligent tools designed to simplify creative work. The Yoga Pro 7a (15”, 11) and IdeaPad Slim 5i Ultra (14”, 11) extend Lenovo’s AI-enabled laptop range, offering a balance of performance and mobility for everyday productivity and content creation. In tablets, the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 introduces improved productivity and learning experiences while also becoming the first Lenovo tablet to feature Lenovo Qira. For gaming enthusiasts, Lenovo added the Legion 7a (15”, 11) gaming laptop and the Legion Tab (8.8”, 5) gaming tablet, which features a 3K display and advanced cooling designed to handle demanding games.A More Connected AI FutureWith its showcase at MWC 2026, Lenovo is outlining its vision for a more connected AI ecosystem. By combining experimental hardware concepts with real product updates and the rollout of Lenovo Qira, the company is building devices that can adapt to users instead of forcing users to adapt to technology. The direction is clear: smarter systems that work naturally across devices, helping people stay productive, creative, and connected wherever they are.-Subscribe to our social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter, and YouTube. to receive the latest news and updates.
