Both screens support a 120Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM dimming for reduced flicker.The nova 16 is driven by the Kirin 9010S chipset, whereas the Nova 16z runs on the Kirin 8020, positioning it a tier below in the lineup.HUAWEI nova 16For the battery, the base model uses a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging support. On the other hand, 16z carries a slightly smaller 6,000mAh cell but matches its sibling with the same 100W charging speed.The nova 16's rear camera system consists of a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP RYYB periscope telephoto camera with optical image stabilization, and a Red Maple color sensor. Meanwhile, the 16z offers a 50MP main camera paired with a 12MP RYYB telephoto portrait camera with OIS and a Red Maple color sensor. Both devices also feature a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calls, along with AI-assisted photography tools and HDR Vivid video recording.Other features are infrared remote control, side-mounted fingerprint sensors, stereo speakers, and access to Huawei's Xiaoyi assistant ecosystem for on-device AI experiences.
