ASUS Zenbook DUO (2026) Now in PH – Dual 144Hz OLED Screens and AI Power
ASUS has officially launched the Zenbook DUO (2026) in the Philippines, continuing its push into dual-screen laptops with a more refined and practical approach. The idea of having two displays in one device isn’t new for ASUS, but this version feels more focused on usability.Instead of simply adding another screen, the improvements are designed to make multitasking smoother and less distracting in everyday use.The ZenBook Duo (UX8407AA) retains its dual 14-inch layout, but now features a significantly reduced gap between the two displays. ASUS says it’s 70% smaller than before, which helps create a more seamless workspace when moving between screens. Both panels use ASUS Lumina Pro OLED with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits brightness. It’s the kind of upgrade you’ll notice more in daily use—smoother scrolling, cleaner visuals, and better overall comfort when working across multiple windows. The five-mode design is still here, letting the device shift depending on your setup. Whether you’re using it as a standard laptop or spreading apps across both screens, the flexibility remains one of its main strengths.Built for Multitasking and AI WorkflowsPowering the Zenbook DUO (2026) is an Intel Core Ultra 9 Series 3 processor with a 50 TOPS NPU, positioning it as a Copilot+ PC for Windows 11.It comes with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB PCIe 4 SSD, which makes it well-suited for heavy multitasking, content work, and AI-assisted tasks. The hardware setup clearly targets users who keep multiple apps open and rely on a more dynamic workspace.Slimmer Build with a Durable FinishEven with two displays, the Zenbook DUO stays relatively compact at 1.96 cm thin. It’s also slightly smaller than its predecessor, making it easier to carry around. The full-Ceraluminum chassis in Moher Gray is designed to be lighter and more durable than standard metal builds, giving it a more premium and long-lasting feel without adding bulk.Battery LifeBattery life is often a concern for dual-screen laptops, but ASUS is pushing for better efficiency here. The Zenbook DUO can last up to 32 hours on a single screen and up to 18 hours with both displays active. That kind of range makes it more practical for long work sessions, especially when you're away from a power source.Connectivity and Everyday UseDespite its slim profile, the Zenbook DUO includes essential ports like Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a headphone jack. It’s a balanced setup that should cover most work scenarios without needing extra adapters.ASUS Zenbook DUO (2026) Full SpecificationsColor: Moher GrayOperating System: Windows 11 HomeProcessor: Intel Core Ultra 9 386H (up to 4.9GHz, 16 cores)Graphics: Intel GraphicsNPU: Intel NPU up to 50 TOPSDisplay: Dual 14-inch 3K OLED, 144Hz, 100% DCI-P3, TouchMemory: 32GB LPDDR5XStorage: 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSDPorts: Thunderbolt 4 x2, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, Audio JackKeyboard: Soft Keyboard, 1.7mm travelCamera: FHD IR Camera (Windows Hello)Audio: Built-in speakers, Smart AmpConnectivity: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4Battery: 99WhCharger: 100W USB-CWeight: 1.65 kgDimensions: 31.01 x 20.86 x 1.96–2.34 cmDurability: US MIL-STD 810HSecurity: TPM, Microsoft Pluton, IR CameraPrice and Availability in the PhilippinesThe Zenbook DUO UX8407AA-SN152WSM is priced at ₱179,995 in the Philippines. Though the colors aren't as vibrant, the sharpness and resolution are on point. Although the ultra-wide is noticeably not as detailed as the rest of the cameras. Daylight rear camera 1x (taken by REVU.com.ph)Daylight rear camera 2x (taken by REVU.com.ph)Daylight rear camera ultra-wide (taken by REVU.com.ph)We visited the peak of Mt. Anahawon in Valencia, Bukidnon, and spent our early morning capturing the sunrise. In between shots, we got ourselves a cup of coffee with beans grown in Bukidnon.Because the sun has risen at this point, the colors of the photos are much more vibrant. The contrast, sharpness, and detail remain a standout. However, like the previous photo, the ultra-wide is less detailed when compared with the other images.Closer look at the zooms 2x, 3.5x, and 7xIn this particular scenario, the sharpness, resolution, contrast, and colors are consistent across all photos on the 2x to 7x zoom range.Closer look at the zoom 7xIf we look closer, the 7x digital zoom still retains the detail, sharpness, and color without degradation of image quality.Candid shot with the rear camera 1x in daylightAt 10 AM, the sun was up and allowed for brighter images. The colors and sharpness really shone, especially on the main camera.Versatile camera set-upEarly morning shots with ultra-wide, main camera 1x, and 3.5x telephoto cameraBefore the sun fully rose from the horizon, we asked one of the paragliding staff to pose for us. Even though these shots were taken in sequence, the exposure was inconsistent between the ultra-wide, 1x, and 3.5x. The ultra-wide was noticeably darker and was slightly softer than the other two.We noticed a couple enjoying the view, so we saw it as an opportunity to take advantage of the several cameras to showcase how versatile it is and how each focal length adds to the storytelling of your content. The wide main camera is able to add more of the environment to add context, while the 3.5x telephoto allows you to get closer and to give that intimate feel.OPPO Reno15 5G rear camera indoors 1xOPPO Reno15 5G rear camera indoors 2xOPPO Reno15 5G rear camera indoors 3.5xOPPO Reno15 5G rear camera indoors 7xOPPO Reno15 5G rear camera indoors ultra-wideIn lower light conditions, the Reno15 5G handles it well with images from the main camera and the telephoto being surprisingly sharp, yet with minimal noise. Although the ultra-wide-angle camera is slightly softer.Rear cameras Portrait mode with 2x and 3.5x Rear camera portrait mode with 3.5x landscapeThe Portrait mode with the rear cameras is stellar. The Edge detection is near flawless, and the bokeh is near natural-looking. It just lacks the natural and soft fall off from the in-focus to the out-of-focus areas.OPPO Reno15 5G's Selfie camera daylightWhen shooting selfies in landscape orientation, you can feel how wide the selfie camera's field of view is. It may not be the widest we've seen, but it certainly strikes a balance between a wide field of view and image quality. The Selfie is sharp and detailed with near-accurate color reproduction and with deep contrast.OPPO Reno15 5G's Selfie camera PortraitContinuing from the previous image, the daylight selfie retains the sharp, detailed, and vibrant color but with near-perfect edge detection. The bokeh is somewhat harsh, but it does the job of isolating the subject well.OPPO Reno15 5G's Selfie camera, daylight, and in Portrait mode in portrait orientationThe same can be said when shooting selfies in portrait orientation. The image quality is excellent, but the taller aspect ratio allows for more of the environment in the frame, not just in selfies but in videos for social media. Our thoughtsMy first few days using the OPPO Reno15 5G for photography have been fun. All of the cameras produce images that are great in quality, especially the main camera 1x, the 3.5x telephoto, and the selfie camera. The ultra-wide camera's photos could be sharper and more detailed, but it keeps up with the other cameras.Out of the box, our only concern is the inconsistent exposures between the zoom ranges in select lighting conditions. We have several sets of images of the same scene, but shot with a different focal length, and the exposures were obviously different. This may be due to the camera app's metering mode averaging the whole scene. I hope they give the option to select the metering mode in the settings in a software update. Otherwise, the cameras of the OPPO Reno15 5G are looking to be good while being versatile.Stay tuned for our full review soon. What do you guys think?
