Microsoft is testing Windows AI features on RTX GPUs, expanding the tools beyond NPUs and making AI tools available to more PCs. The update comes via the Windows App SDK 2.2 Experimental 9. It enables RTX 30‑series GPUs with at least 6GB VRAM to run AI tasks locally. Developers need Windows Insider builds and Developer Mode to try it out.
