Google's approach includes enabling developer mode, confirming that the user is not being forced to disable security protections, a 24-hour waiting period, and biometric authentication or device PIN entry.Google has stated that this is a one-time process. Once the verification steps and waiting period are completed, the device will allow installation of unregistered apps for an indefinite period. Users will also have the option to enable sideloading privileges for seven-day intervals.The updated steps for sideloading appsGoogle continues to advance its developer identity verification program, scheduled to begin in September. Unverified developers will be required to verify their identity with Google by providing personal details such as address, email, phone number, and a copy of an ID, along with a USD 25 registration fee.A free alternative is available for hobbyists and students, allowing them to share apps with up to 20 people without providing ID or paying the registration fee.Separately, Android Community Engagement Manager and technology journalist Mishaal Rahman has noted that sideloading via Android Debug Bridge (ADB) will not be subject to Google's advanced flow process or the 24-hour waiting period.Google first announced plans to require developer verification for sideloading last August, and provided further details on the advanced flow process in November.What do you guys think?Source: Google
