Lenovo Achieves 90% Renewable Electricity, Announces New ESG Goals for the AI Era

Lenovo's latest FY2025-26 ESG Report highlights the company's achievement of sourcing more than 90% of its operational electricity from renewable energy while outlining new sustainability goals focused on climate action, circular economy, responsible AI, and social impact. Renewable Milestone: Lenovo now sources more than 90% of the electricity used across its global operations from renewable energy, marking significant progress toward its long-term net-zero emissions target by 2050. Circular Innovation: The technology company continues expanding sustainable product design through recycled materials, repairability, reuse, and large-scale end-of-life device recovery under its R.E.A.L. Framework. Responsible AI: Alongside new ESG aspirations, Lenovo is strengthening AI governance while using artificial intelligence to advance sustainability, accessibility, education, and healthcare initiatives around the world. Lenovo has announced another major sustainability milestone, revealing that more than 90 percent of the electricity powering its global operations now comes from renewable energy sources. The achievement is among the highlights of the company's newly released FY2025-26 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, which also introduces a new generation of long-term sustainability aspirations designed to guide Lenovo through the AI era. The report demonstrates how Lenovo continues integrating sustainability into its business strategy while balancing technological innovation, environmental responsibility, and long-term business growth. It also reflects the company's ongoing commitment to helping customers achieve their own sustainability goals through smarter technologies and responsible innovation. Lenovo Nears Completion of First Generation ESG Goals The FY2025-26 ESG Report marks an important point in Lenovo's sustainability journey as the company approaches the completion of its first enterprise-wide ESG goals. According to Dave Carroll, Lenovo's Chief Legal and Corporate Responsibility Officer, the company intends to build upon lessons learned over the past several years while preparing even more ambitious sustainability targets for the future. Dave Carroll said: "This fiscal year represents an important moment for Lenovo. As we near the end of our first generation of ESG goals, we are proud of the progress we've made—but even more focused on applying what we've learned to accelerate future impact. Our work is closely aligned with the needs of our customers and partners as we navigate environmental challenges, geopolitical complexity, and the rapid evolution of AI." Over the last five years, Lenovo has embedded ESG principles throughout its worldwide operations while improving collaboration across different business units and maintaining flexibility amid changing global conditions. More Than 90% Renewable Electricity Across Global Operations Among the biggest announcements in the report is Lenovo's achievement of sourcing more than 90 percent of its operational electricity from renewable energy. The company reaches this milestone through a combination of onsite renewable energy generation, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). The accomplishment represents a significant step toward Lenovo's commitment to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Importantly, Lenovo's emissions reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), giving additional credibility to the company's long-term climate strategy. Circular Economy Remains a Major Focus Beyond renewable energy, Lenovo continues investing heavily in circular economy initiatives through its R.E.A.L. Framework, which promotes repairability, reuse, and recycling across product development. Among the highlights reported by the company are: 100 percent of Lenovo PC products now incorporate post-consumer recycled content materials, excluding tablets and accessories. More than 800 million pounds (approximately 363 million kilograms) of end-of-life products have been recovered since 2005. More than 300 million pounds of post-consumer recycled plastics have been reused since 2005. Smartphone packaging now contains 60 percent recycled materials, while single-use plastics have been reduced by 50 percent compared to FY2020-21 levels, excluding Lenovo-branded smartphone packaging and including motorola razr packaging beginning FY2023-24. These initiatives support Lenovo's broader objective of reducing environmental impact throughout the entire product lifecycle. Continued Investment in People and Communities Lenovo's ESG efforts extend beyond environmental initiatives to include diversity, inclusion, and community development. The company reports measurable improvements in the representation of women and underrepresented groups throughout its global workforce. Lenovo's inclusion initiatives continue receiving recognition from respected organizations including Disability:IN, Workplace Pride, the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index, and Forbes. Meanwhile, Lenovo's philanthropy programs have positively impacted more than 25 million people between 2021 and 2026 by expanding access to technology and education worldwide. Employee volunteer programs, including Love on Month of Service, also achieved record participation, demonstrating strong employee engagement across Lenovo's global workforce. AI Supports Sustainability and Social Impact As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly central to business operations, Lenovo is positioning AI as an important tool for sustainability. The company says AI is already helping improve sustainability metric collection and analysis while supporting responsible decision-making. At the same time, Lenovo continues strengthening governance around AI development and deployment. Beyond internal operations, Lenovo actively participates in global collaborations including the ITU AI Skills Coalition and the Coalition for Sustainable AI. The report also highlights several AI-powered initiatives that deliver tangible social benefits, including: TRAdA, an AI solution designed to predict heart arrhythmia in athletes. Accessibility technologies such as communication avatars and sign language translation tools. Global AI skills development programs developed alongside partners including Tech To The Rescue and Ashoka. These initiatives illustrate how Lenovo sees AI not only as a driver of business innovation but also as a means of improving lives through healthcare, education, and accessibility. Global Recognition for ESG Leadership Lenovo's sustainability efforts continue receiving recognition from several respected international organizations. Recent achievements include: EcoVadis Platinum Medal CDP A List for both climate and water, alongside an A rating for supplier engagement Inclusion in the Corporate Knights 100 Most Sustainable Companies Ranked No. 5 in Gartner's 2026 Global Supply Chain Rankings "Most Sustainable Organization" Award from the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants These recognitions reinforce Lenovo's standing as one of the technology industry's leading companies in environmental stewardship, responsible governance, and sustainable business practices. Looking Toward the Next Generation of ESG Goals With its first generation of enterprise-wide ESG goals nearing completion, Lenovo is already preparing the next phase of its sustainability roadmap. The company says its future aspirations will continue emphasizing responsible innovation, climate action, circular economy principles, ethical AI governance, and positive social impact. These new objectives are intended to strengthen Lenovo's resilience while supporting customers, partners, and communities in an increasingly AI-driven world. As technology continues evolving rapidly, Lenovo believes sustainability and innovation must progress together. Its latest ESG Report reflects a long-term strategy focused not only on developing smarter technology, but also on ensuring that technological progress creates lasting value for people and the planet. ASUS ExpertBook Ultra Showcases Durability in New Campaign with Rico Hizon and Gabbi Garcia

Following the Philippine launch of the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra recently. ASUS Business Philippines introduced the "ASUS ExpertBook Ultra Beats Murphy's Law" video series. The campaign highlights how the laptop handles the unexpected—from accidental spills and drops to long workdays away from a power outlet.Leading the campaign are award-winning broadcast journalist Rico Hizon and actress, host, and entrepreneur Gabbi Garcia, who were also officially introduced as the newest ASUS ExpertBook Brand Ambassadors in the Philippines.Murphy's Law Is Part of Every WorkdayAnyone who works on the go has probably experienced Murphy's Law at some point. Coffee spills before an important presentation, the battery runs low during a meeting, or a laptop gets knocked around while traveling. These aren't unusual situations. They're part of daily life for many professionals who regularly move between offices, client meetings, airports, and remote workspaces. For Rico Hizon, reliability isn't just a convenience—it's part of the job. With nearly four decades of experience across GMA, CNBC Asia, BBC World News, CNN Philippines, and now ABS-CBN News Channel, he has worked in environments where equipment failure isn't an option.Gabbi Garcia brings a different perspective. Aside from being an actress and television host, she also manages business ventures and creates digital content. Her schedule often involves production shoots, meetings, travel, and content creation, making portability and dependable performance equally important. The campaign places both ambassadors in familiar work situations where laptops are often pushed beyond a typical office setup.Built for Everyday MishapsOne of the scenarios featured in the series involves accidental liquid spills. The ASUS ExpertBook Ultra features a splash-resistant keyboard that directs liquids away from critical internal components. While no one plans to spill water or coffee during work, it's one of those accidents that can happen when deadlines are tight. For professionals who spend hours working in cafés or shared workspaces, this added protection can offer extra peace of mind.AI Performance That Keeps UpModern workloads rarely involve just one application. Video conferencing, document editing, spreadsheets, AI assistants, and multiple browser tabs often run simultaneously. ASUS equips the ExpertBook Ultra with up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 Series 3 processor, Intel Arc Pro graphics, Intel vPro, and up to 50 NPU TOPS dedicated to AI processing.By assigning AI workloads to a dedicated processor, the laptop allows other applications to continue running smoothly without competing for the same system resources.Designed to Handle Daily TravelAccording to ASUS, the ExpertBook Ultra has passed 24 MIL-STD-810H military-standard tests along with 157 ASUS in-house durability tests, including drop tests from heights of up to 120 cm. While most users won't intentionally test these limits, the added durability is reassuring for those who travel frequently.Long Battery Life and Flexible ChargingLooking for a power outlet before a meeting starts is something many mobile workers know all too well. The ASUS ExpertBook Ultra supports USB Type-C power bank charging and offers up to 26 hours of battery life, allowing users to stay productive even during long workdays or flights. Using the same USB-C power bank that already charges a phone is also a practical convenience when traveling.Built to Stay Looking NewBusiness laptops often pick up fingerprints and scratches after just a few weeks of daily use. ASUS addresses this with a 9H Nano Ceramic finish that's claimed to be five times more scratch-resistant than the industry standard. The surface also helps resist fingerprints, stains, and smudges, making the laptop easier to keep clean without constantly wiping it down.Comfortable for Long HoursProfessionals who spend most of their day in front of a screen will appreciate a display that's easier on the eyes. The ASUS ExpertBook Ultra features a 14-inch 3K Tandem OLED display with an anti-glare finish that reduces reflections in bright environments while maintaining deep blacks and vibrant colors.Whether working in a brightly lit office or a hotel room at night, the display is designed to remain comfortable during extended use.Light Enough for Everyday CarryDespite its premium hardware, the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra weighs just 0.99 kg and measures 10.9 mm thin. For anyone who carries a laptop all day, along with chargers, notebooks, and other accessories, even a few hundred grams can make a noticeable difference over time.Enterprise Support for BusinessesThe ASUS ExpertBook Ultra is built for both individual professionals and businesses, with flexible configurations for organizations of any size. Every unit includes a 3-year warranty covering the laptop, battery, and charger, extendable to 5 years.ASUS Business also offers services like next-day local on-site support and accidental damage protection to help minimize downtime. Backed by 100+ ASUS Service Centers across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, support is always within reach.Rico Hizon and Gabbi Garcia Lead the CampaignWith this latest campaign, ASUS Business Philippines positions the ExpertBook Ultra as more than just another premium laptop. Rico Hizon represents professionals whose work depends on reliability under pressure, while Gabbi Garcia reflects a younger generation balancing entertainment, entrepreneurship, and content creation. Together, they showcase how the ExpertBook Ultra fits different styles of professional work while highlighting its durability, AI capabilities, and portability. The ASUS ExpertBook Ultra Beats Murphy's Law video series is now available, featuring Rico Hizon and Gabbi Garcia as they put ASUS' flagship business laptop through everyday situations that challenge durability, performance, and reliability. Watch the full series: https://ph.asus.click/ExpertBookUltraBeatsMurphysLawPricing and Early Bird PromoThe ASUS ExpertBook Ultra is now available in the Philippines with a starting price of ₱129,995.
