Apple has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI in the Northern District of California, accusing the AI company of stealing trade secrets and misusing confidential product information. Apple claims OpenAI encouraged former employees to share proprietary data, such as technical drawings and unreleased product designs, as it aims to develop its own devices. The lawsuit names Tang Tan, OpenAI’s chief hardware officer and former Apple VP of product design, along with Chang Liu, a former iPhone hardware engineer.
